At Apex Wire Products Co., Inc., we manufacture multiple types of custom wire forms for the lighting industry. This project demonstrates our 3D wire forming and eye forming capabilities. The bracket shown here is used to mount the joist of a lighting fixture. The assembly is constructed of 0.1875″ diameter C1008-1010 cold rolled steel wire and is produced on CNC forming equipment. Our CNC forming equipment is capable of efficiently producing complex wire forms that meet tight tolerances. After forming, the wire shapes are welded by TIG welding. We offer multiple types of arc and resistance welding as well as brazing and soldering to suit virtually any application. The finished assembly is approximately 3.75″ in length, 1.9375″ in width, and 3.5625″ in height.The finished bracket is inspected to verify dimensional tolerances as tight as ±0.030″ are met per customer specifications. Destructive testing is also performed on the welds to ensure they met all loading requirements. We produce 12,500 to 25,000 of these brackets per run with a lead time of 2 to 3 weeks. As a versatile wire forming company, we are able to accommodate a range of production volumes and turnaround requirements by incorporating CNC and manual wire forming processes.
